Passenger Transport MI System

Tender description

The requirement is to provide the council with a replacement Passenger Transport Management Information System. The council have a statutory obligation to provide certain school transport and have a policy committing to support local bus services where resources permit. This requires effective route planning and contract management tools which has previously been supported with a Passenger Transport Management Information System (PTMIS). A new Passenger Transport Management Information System will help deliver an improved service. It is anticipated the new system will be implemented by the end of FY 23/24. The system will be required to provide all functions necessary for efficient and cost effective route planning, customer and supplier management, finance management and reporting for home to school transport and passenger transport provided by the passenger transport service. There is also a requirement for eligibility measurements for home to school transport where suitable walking routes exist which can inform eligibility for home to school transport as well as inform cost saving policy decisions.
