Learning Disability Respite – Provider Consultation Event – 15 February 2024

Cheshire East Council are currently reviewing the accommodation-based respite for people who have a learning disability and/or autism who may display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition and physical disabilities. These services have been in place for several years and the time has come for the Council to review the current offer and consider what is the best way in the future to provide support to those who access learning disabilities respite services in Cheshire East. Following soft market testing that was undertaken in Autumn 2023, we are holding an online Provider Consultation Event on 15 February at 10.00am. The purpose of this event will be to look at potential models for future respite provision for people with a learning disability and/or autism who may display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition and physical disabilities. From the event we would like to get feedback from all prospective providers to further shape the new respite model in advance of this opportunity going out to tender.
