The proposed works comprise of extensive demolition works to the existing structure, consisting of a complete reconfiguration of the internal layouts and structures, demolition and removal of the existing external fire damaged structures to the rear, demolition and clearing out of the existing internal structures throughout, partial retention of three number boundary/party walls, reconfiguration of front of house facilities, auditorium space including construction of upper balcony, reconfiguration and construction of back of house facilities (library and theatre), construction of additional floor levels to front and rear. Increasing the seating capacity from 180 to 220 seats, construction of a new contemporary designed street elevation. Specialist Works: Stage Rigging; Electric winches for lighting bars and curtain tracks, and hemp set suspensions for masking and senery over stage. Tracks for house curtain and side masking. Lighting & Sound Infrastructure; Lighting dimmers, ligting control distribution, outlet socket boxes. Sound wiring infrastructure, amplifier racks, performance communications, paging and show relay, video camera and LCD screen for foyer, infrared assisted listening system.
