Tender description
MEDITE Europe DAC are seeking suitably qualified companies to carry out remediation works to 9 areas of the existing concrete yard and construct a woodchip reject pit in accordance with dimensions and specifications for works set out in attached drawing 2343‐605‐GW‐01. These works will have to be carried out in a manner that will minimise impact on Chip yard/ Fuel yard traffic and production generally. The successful tenderer shall be required to act as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) as per the requirements of the relevant health & safety legislation. Medite Europe DAC is acting as PSDP and have prepared a Preliminary Health & Safety Plan in accordance. with Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. The Preliminary Health & Safety Plan is attached for information. Limitations on Contractors Working Conditions Refer to the Preliminary Health & Safety Plan for Limitations on Contractors Working Conditions. Preliminaries As well as costs the contractor would normally include under ‘Preliminaries’, the contractor shall include for any costs that shall be incurred as a result of the requirements of the Preliminary Health and Safety Plan, including but not limited to, site fencing to protect the works, costs associated with permitting, inductions etc. Traffic Management The Contractor, after seeking input from Medite, shall develop and implement a traffic management plan to facilitate the works. The Contractor shall allow for the provision of all necessary signage, lighting and guarding as part of his scope. It is imperative that the works are carried out in a manner that causes the minimum impact to operations at Medite. Demolition/Removal of damaged sections of yard sections Includes: - • Cut the damage section of yard as required, and unless specified otherwise at an existing expansion joint.
