SPS 2634 Delivery of Shopfront Refurbishments to Woolwich HAZ

Tender description

The Royal Borough of Greenwich (the Council) has identified Woolwich as a priority for regeneration and is focusing substantial resources to bring forward positive change in the area. Through Historic England's 'High Streets Heritage Action Zone' designation and funding, the Council will deliver a coordinated programme of interventions in Woolwich Town Centre to improve Woolwich as a place to live, work and do business. The programme includes shop front and façade improvements, conservation projects, placemaking, community engagement and cultural events.\r \r The Council is now appointing a contractor for the delivery of Shop Front and Facade improvements in Woolwich Town Centre. The project will deliver quality high street and heritage improvements, as well as benefits to local businesses. This will be a focused and well-coordinated programme, working closely with the Council, Design Team and shopkeepers involved in the scheme. We anticipate improvements to a collective of up to 8 shops/buildings on the high street for this phase of works.
