Leicester City in the Community - Foster the Future project

The Foster the future project with Leicester City in the Community is to provide mentoring and enrichment opportunities linked to Leicester City Football club, for our children in care. This is a unique package that has been developed specifically for LAC children to support with reducing exclusion rates across the county/city by providing mentoring support in schools, activities and engagement sessions, along with opportunities to visit the ground and games that they otherwise would not get. The vision is to support with education, physical activity and in school support by using the brand of Leicester City to engage our vulnerable young people and support them to succeed in school. Alongside our LAC, a large focus is also supporting our USAC young people and providing them opportunities too. The community have extended their location offer, to ensure it is accessible to more young people across the county and also including mentoring in schools to form strong links between what they are doing with the club and the schools.
