The provision of NZEB Training courses

Waterford and Wexford Education & Training Board (WWETB) invites tenders to this Request for Tender (RFT) from private training Providers for the provision of NZEB Training courses. NZEB Training courses being delivered in WWETB’s Training Centre in Enniscorthy and Waterford are the first trade specific NZEB Courses in Europe. The WWETB National NZEB Training Centre Enniscorthy is the first facility in Europe to offer a suite of trade-specific NZEB courses. Please note that this service requirement is categorised as a Title III Service, thereby being subject to a light touch application of Directive 2014/24/EU, under Art. 74. On that basis, WWETB is adopting an open procedure. 'Nearly Zero Energy Buildings', NZEB means a building that has a very high energy performance where the nearly zero or very low amount of energy required should be covered to a very significant extent by energy from renewable sources including energy from renewable sources produced on-site or nearby“. This Government directive with Policy and building regulations will require all construction professionals to adhere to the NZEB Standard and undergo upskilling to meet the requirements of the sustainable building agenda. WWETB has developed a number of training courses, which are designed to provide learners with knowledge of the principles and practices that help in achieving the NZEB standard. These training courses will introduce participants to the legislative concepts required to meet the standards. This upskilling will meet the requirements of the construction industries sustainable agenda and provide practical applications and building air tightness control. Provision of NZEB Training courses is required from 1st January 2020 in the following locations: NZEB Training Centre Enniscorthy NZEB Retrofit Centre – Waterford
