Sligo County Council is seeking tenders from a suitably qualified, multidisciplinary consultancy with expertise in the area of Landscape Character Assessment (LCA). The primary purpose of the assessment is to provide the basis for preserving the distinctiveness and character of special landscapes, while at the same time facilitating development, particularly in more robust areas of County Sligo. The Landscape Character Assessment will inform a range of policies and objectives to be included in the forthcoming Sligo County Development Plan 2023-2029 and in any subsequent local area plans or non-statutory planning frameworks.
