Sligo County Council is seeking tenders from a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy with an excellent knowledge of the technology and its requ¬irements in relation to all forms of renewable energy, to undertake the preparation of a Renewable Energy Strategy (RES). The Local Authority Renewable Energy Strategy will inform a range of policies and objectives to be included in the forthcoming Sligo County Development Plan 2023-2029 and in any subsequent local area plans or non-statutory planning frameworks. The RES will be informed by a Landscape Character Assessment associated with the Sligo CDP 2023-2029 (subject to a separate procurement procedure).
