Tender description

The Contract is for the undertaking for Revitalisation and environmental improvement works within 3 rural Settlement areas in the Derg District Electoral Area (DEA). The works primarily comprise of a Revitalisation Shopfront enhancement schemes comprising mainly of Facade painting to targeted commercial properties. Other ancillary works may consist of environmental improvements to public realm e.g. seating, planting, welcome signs, and cleaning of surfaces – subject to local characteristics and budget availability. While the project mainly consists of Facade commercial painting, with a specific emphasis on promoting the character the building and within the overall context of the streetscape. Also within the design proposal we seek environmental improvements. To identified locations. Our professional design team have carried out their professional intervention for each of the each of the selected commercial properties. There will be one primary intervention which is the paint element and two secondary intervention which will be in respect of urgent remedial works. The requirements are broken into different categories to include the following: Painting – Primary intervention, Plastering – Secondary intervention and Rainwater goods – Secondary intervention. The objective of the scheme is to initiate a series of regeneration interventions designed to improve the Physical regeneration of the rural small settlements in order to improve the place making and to make the rural commercial areas more inviting to customers. In turn this will help assist in the economic performance after Covid -19 through increased footfall, promote new business opportunities and job creation. DCSDC will oversee the delivery of this Revitalisation Scheme/Environmental Works for the 1 rural DEA Derg. The emphasis on delivery of the project will be to ensure maximum visual impact within the rural settlements to improve the overall streetscape.
