Tender description

Labour-only provision of a master stonemason and supporting labourer(s), on-site at Inveraray, Argyll. This tender seeks day-rate prices for the labour-only provision of a master stonemason alone, and/or a master stonemason with supporting labour, on site at the museum at Auchindrain. The stonemason should be fully experienced in working on traditional vernacular buildings to Category A standard. In general terms the work involves the repair or reconstruction of random rubble dry-stone and lime mortar walls, working as directed by our Conservation Architect. This tender does NOT look for prices for a defined package of work. The intention is to enable us to appoint individuals and small contractors able to undertake this type of work when necessary.
