Remedial Works to Fire Doors at Connect 38

Folkestone & Hythe District Council wishes to appoint a suitable contractor for the remedial works to the 98 fire doors located within the Landlord and circulation areas at the office building known as Connect 38 following a BM Trada Q Mark survey that identified various defects. \r \r The works include repairs to 98 door sets including the renewal of 2 door sets, which are to be undertaken to all 6 floors of Connect 38\r \r The door sets are\r • 9 sets of double doors; \r • 10 sets of doors with an additional half leaf; \r • 79 single door sets.\r \r The works are required to maintain complaint fire protection to the staircases, lift lobby and all communal areas within the building and to ensure that any damage and movement out of alignment that has arisen since the door sets were originally installed is rectified and that following the completion of the works; the door sets are certified compliant under the BM TRADA Q Mark Fire Door Maintenance Scheme. \r \r The tender opportunity is available and accessible on Kent Business Portal, www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk, reference number - DN655806\r
