Tender description

Corserv Solutions Ltd are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the following: North Play Area – 1000m2 (32m x 34m). Tender scope: - Design input - Supply and installation of the play equipment including preparatory groundworks - Supply and installation of the safety surfaces as required, including preparatory groundworks - RoSPA Post Installation Inspection Excluded from scope: - Footpath design and construction - Soft landscaping (including willow tunnel). - Fencing, gates, signage, benches - Initial site reprofiling The principles of the design and layout have been set in: - Concept plan: LGV4_17-LLO-XX-XX-DR-L-0112-S2-P02-Detail Sheet 12 NEAP - LEMP: LGV4_17-LLO-XX-XX-RP-L-0001-P02 – LEMP - Planning design statement: LGV4_17-LLO-XX-XX-RP-L-0002-P02 - PDCS The focus has been to deliver a naturalised play facility, with emphasis on landscape, planting and static features rather than more traditional kinetic equipment. Equipment to be dynamic, challenging, stimulating and offer a broad range of physical and intellectual opportunity. The focus should be on a natural play experience. The play equipment should be accessible where possible. The area is restricted to approximately 1000m2 (32m x 34m), therefore we are looking to maximise the play value by using a multi play units where possible together with mounds, boulders and incorporating a soft landscape etc. Timber play equipment is preferred. Aesthetic consideration must be given to the look of the play equipment, ideally incorporating curved, soft lines rather than hard angles. As the current concept design is a part of the planning submission, therefore the scope for modifications is limited. The aim is to recreate the concept design approach. Main target group: children aged 2-12 with the focus on 3- 8 year olds. The appointed company will be required to work with our designers with the intention to have all the design work completed by the end of February 2024, to ensure all elements are costed and programmed accordingly. The play installation is planned to take place in summer 2025. For preferrable range of equipment to be included (as per concept design) please see Langarth Garden Village Play Park Brief NEAP P02. The evaluation criteria will be based on: • Value for money • Response to brief/design • Quality of materials/durability, use of natural materials • Certifications • Play value, inclusivity, accessibility and innovation • Warranty period • Delivery time Suppliers are asked to produce a list of their suggested set of equipment and costs together with the installation diagrams, lead time for delivery, installation and warranty period. Supplier should also advise any foundation, drainage and earthwork requirement. The order will be placed in two stages, first stage for the design element only and then the second stage for the supply and installation of the play equipment. Please price the design stage as a separate item. The Contractor shall not be obligated to enter into any further agreement should they choose to proceed with the first stage design element only from the Supplier. The intention is to award the contract to the most economically advantageous tenderer based on 30% Quality & 70% Price.
