Tender description
Corserv Solutions Ltd are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the following: *Scope of Works Green Gym. Tender scope: - Design input - Supply and installation of the play equipment, including preparatory groundworks - Supply and installation of the safety surfaces as required - RoSPA Post Installation Inspection Excluded from scope: - Footpath design and construction - Soft landscaping - Fencing, gates, signage - Initial site reprofiling The principles of the design and layout have been set in: - Concept Plan: LGV4_17-LLO-XX-XX-DR-L-0110-S2-P02-Detail Sheet 10 LPN - LEMP: LGV4_17-LLO-XX-XX-RP-L-0001-P02 – LEMP - Planning design statement: LGV4_17-LLO-XX-XX-RP-L-0002-P02 - PDCS Equipment to be challenging, stimulating and offer a range of physical opportunity. Proposed equipment should be inclusive there possible and designed for children and adults. Consideration should be given to a variety of ages and abilities. Timber play equipment is preferred. Aesthetic consideration must be given to the look of the gym equipment, ideally incorporating soft lines rather than hard angles. Equipment should be robust, sustainable and easy to maintain. It should be timber/natural play style. Steel post feet are a preferred option. A preferrable range of gym equipment that should be included (as per the concept design) and acceptable range of the safety surfaces can be found in the Tender Brief Langarth Garden Village Green Gym P02. As the current concept design is a part of the planning submission, therefore the scope for modifications is limited. The aim is to recreate the concept design approach. Suppliers are asked to produce a list of their suggested set of equipment and costs, photo illustrations together with the installation diagrams, lead time for design input and equipment delivery, and warranty period information. Acceptable warranty timescale: • 15 years for structural elements • 10 years on most parts. • 5year minimum on moving components. Safety surfacing complying with EN 1177. All equipment to be constructed to EN 1176. The evaluation criteria will be based on: • Value for money • Response to brief/design • Quality of materials/durability, use of natural materials • Certifications • Play value, inclusivity, accessibility and innovation • Warranty period • Delivery time The order will be placed in two stages, first stage for the design element only and then the second stage for the supply and installation of the gym equipment to suit the programme. Please price the design stage as a separate item. The Contractor shall not be obligated to enter into any further agreement should they choose to proceed with the first stage design element only from the Supplier. The intention is to award the contract to the most economically advantageous tenderer based on 30% Quality & 70% Price.
