Engineering Cost Planning

Tender description

Engineering cost planning services are required for the restoration of the Cotswold Canals (known as Phase 1B) which comprises of 96 sub-projects that range in value from circa £5k to £5m. The cost planning will start at a high level and needs to be constructed from an elemental approach that can be further granulated as the design advances and provides a reliable benchmark from which decision can be made with a high level of confidence. The cost planning service will need to be undertaken with an extensive knowledge of current market pricing and with insight of how the works are assembled to ensure adequate provision is made for current site practices and methodologies. Each sub-project will require a cost plan established in a standard elemental format and by service category to ensure seamless transition into project reporting. As the project develops and more design information is available the cost plan will be updated and expanded, and it is not expected that a new plan will need to be created at each gateway approval.
