Engineering Consultancy Services - East Region Embankments - Survey and Data Processing It is envisaged that the scope of this project is a ‘desktop’ study/assessment and will comprise of the assessment of various datasets, comparison of same and identifying gaps in the information supplied. Regular communication throughout the project between the Consultant and the OPW will be required to facilitate its efficient delivery. The objectives of this Project are as follows: ­ Identify embankments or sections of embankments where there are discrepancies between the existing surveyed levels and widths and the original scheme design. ­ Provision of commentary on current land use for areas benefitting from the respective embankments. This information can then be used by the OPW to inform areas for further inspection and potentially assist with the prioritisation of maintenance and repairs of these embankments.
