Tender description
Please read carefully the ITT document included in the tender pack. CHI is seeking tenders for the supply, implementation and support of a Dock Door Management System. This tender focuses on providing a holistic Dock Door Management System including infrastructure and functionality for a range of use cases to improve vendor and staff experience, and ultimately to improve healthcare efficiencies and outcomes. The key functionality of the dock door management system; 1) The careful traffic management of all vehicles into the FM logistics campus dock. Without this booking solution the Campus runs the risk of a complete logistics traffic jam due to the following reasons; a. Single campus point of entry/exit for deliveries (including SJH - St. James Hospital) b. This FM logistics dock is to facilitate all inbound and outbound movements (catering, labs, pharmacy, medical/surgical, household, CAMHS, linen, waste, etc.) c. The design of the FM logistics dock requires the careful management of the vehicle types into the specific space (limit on trailer size, due to design constraints). d. The inbound logistics function is a transition point onto the AGV application and is not designed as a decant / storage / quarantine location. e. CHI as part of the national strategy ‘One Voice for Health’, are working in partnership with the NDC/NDS to have consolidated deliveries to the NCH. f. To fully utilise the AGV application, there is a requirement to have an extended working day and therefore manage the flow of vehicles into FM logistics dock. 2) Support Vendors to process shipments per drop-point to ensure consolidation of deliveries off-site and into NCH’s network of approximately 174 drop point locations. This also needs to include the SJH delivery volumes. 3) Confirmation / receipt of Trolley ID into Hub. As stated above there is no space available within the inbound FM logistics Hub to decant and therefore there is a requirement for RTLS cameras to automatically confirm receipt of trolley ID once they pass under the cameras. 4) Upon completion of receipt, there is a data transfer from this solution to the AGV application to commence the AGV journeys throughout the NCH network of approximately 174 drop point locations. 5) Once the AGV application has completed its journey and delivered its trolley to the clean hub (stop point prior to final destination), there is a communication to the end user to move, confirm, decant and return trolley to disposal hold (stop point prior to return to original location), managing the tractability and full movements within the supply chain.
