AWARDED: TANL3024 - Framework for capturing unemployment impacts in appraisal

Tender description

This contract was awarded to two academics affiliated with the University of Leeds' Institute for Transport Studies for the development of a framework to include reduction in unemployment in the Department for Transport's appraisal framework. The contract was signed on 12 December 2023 and has an expiry date of 31/05/2024, with provision to extend in time alone for up to a further two months. The contract has a fixed total cost of £40,000.00 excl. VAT. The contract was direct awarded, on the basis that competition for this expertise is absent and the contract must be awarded to academics with expertise in transport, unemployment and transport appraisal. The suppliers of this contract are the only two active academics to which it could be awarded - and the contract will build on findings of a recent analysis produced by one of them.
