Tender description

In accordance with the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (Wales, 2002), Cardiff Council have had a long-standing agreement with a provider to act as its Family Partnership Service, providing information and advice to parents, carers, and young people, and providing independent support to families where there is disagreement or potential disagreement between the family and the local authority. The Special Educational Needs System is currently being replaced by a new statutory framework that was set out in the Additional Learning Needs Act (Wales, 2019). Implementation of the ALN Code began in September 2021 and will be completed by August 2024.
