Tender description
NatureScot requires a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to install a Layher scaffolding tower on an afforested peatland site at Racks Moss, Dumfries and Galloway. Installation must use measures to minimise adverse environmental impacts and site disturbance. The contractor will also provide appropriate training and documentation to personnel from NatureScot and partners to ensure safe use of the tower. A final report will be produced detailing the installation, use, maintenance and decommissioning of the tower. The tower will enable greenhouse gas monitoring equipment to be fixed to the structure above the tree canopy. The work must be completed as soon as possible and before the end of March 2023 at the latest. The contract is for works below the regulated threshold for works but is being advertised to reach a wider potential field of candidates.
