Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Upgrade Works - EWS 2022

Tender description

The original school building in the Galway Community College complex was built in 1969 and an extension was added in 1980. There is also a standalone General Purpose hall building to the rear of the main school building. The site is a split level site and the school occupies the lower level, and the standalone GP hall is located on the higher level to the rear of the site. The scope of the Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Upgrade Works on this project are confined to the standalone GP Hall Building only. The elements which need to be addressed specifically by the Contractor, as noted within this document are highlighted below:- • Interface with the operational aspects of the building, proximity of staff, etc. This will directly affect the carrying out of the work. • Traffic Management outside the site. • Liaison with the Client. • The tight nature of the site in addition to the various operatives highlights the need for co- operation & communication. It is intended that the works will be carried out and fully completed and certified during the Period from Monday the 3rd April to Friday the 5th May 2023, and the Contractor shall have partial possession of the building during this period in order to facilitate staff members in a section of the building in agreement with the Centre Manager /GRETB. Lot 265465: Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Upgrade Works - EWS 2022 Your Tender should be returned by the eTender portal, not later than 2.00 pm on Thursday the 2nd March 2023. Any tenderer who has not submitted the signed suitability declaration, signed health and safety declaration and the signed Form of Tender and Schedule with the price clearly stated will be excluded.
