Advance SCR is an ESF funded programme using European funding awarded through and overseen by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support clear progression towards higher level skills and capabilities built on a strong evidence base of workforce and business need. It seeks to build on the approach/achievements of the Council’s other workforce focused ESF funded projects (Advancing Digital and Sector Routeways) but takes a more targeted approach by focussing on general workforce skill requirement and aligned to employer priorities such as succession planning, progression and support for those at risk of redundancy, support for those in shrinking industries and roles and support for moving into growth sectors and future jobs.
