Provision of Cesspit Emptying Services and Waste Material Disposal Framework 2023-27

Tender description

The Council currently operates and maintains a number of cesspit facilities at various locations within the Vale of Glamorgan. There is a necessity for 7 (seven) cesspits to be emptied on a regular basis and for the waste materials contained within to be removed to a licenced disposal facility. This is in order ensure the provision of adequate sewage facilities and thus avoid pollution incidents by preventing waste material from entering and polluting local watercourses. The Services will initially be required at two locations within the Vale of Glamorgan. The addresses are as follows: o Croft John, Penmark, Rhoose, Barry, CF62 3BQ o Channel View, Marcross, Llantwit Major, CF61 1ZE o Oakfield travellers Site CF35 5DW o Southerndown Beach CF32 0RT o Llantwit Major Beach CF61 1YX o Porthkerry Park, Barry CF62 3BY o Jackson Bay, Barry CF62 5TU The Service will be carried out on a weekly basis, but occasions may arise where additional attendances may be required at other locations within the Vale of Glamorgan, on an ad-hoc basis and to manage emergency situations, should they occur.
