Installation of Home Security Equipment

Tender description

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent require a contractor to manage and co-ordinate the installation of home security devices within residential properties. The security devices that will be required to be installed in each household include doorbell camera, CCTV camera and night security light. Gwent Police will provide the contractor with a list of all residential properties that have been identified as being at risk. In addition to the installation of security devices there is a requirement to install supporting street signage in targeted locations of identified vulnerability and streets which have been identified as having repeat victims. The equipment which is to be installed is to reduce the risk of burglary at vulnerable residences, which in turn make the homeowner feel less vulnerable and put them at ease. These security measures will be installed alongside other home deliverables provided by Gwent police such as Smartwater. All security products and deliverable items will be provided by Gwent Police however the management of individual households, contact with homeowners, installation arrangements and delivery will need to be provided by the contractor. Installation of the security products will need to be installed between March 23rd and August 28th around the six key Force areas Chepstow, Blaina, Cwmbran, Tredegar, Alway and Cefn Forest and it will be down to the contractor to factor in working arrangements of their staff, factoring in public holidays and weekend working.
