Tender description

Throughout 2022 and 2023, the Genomics Unit has been running a requirements phase for a national Genomics Ordering Management Project. The Genomics Ordering management project is designed to streamline and optimise the genomics test order management between primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings (within England) and the NHS Genomic Medicine Service for WGS (Whole Genome Sequencing) and Non-WGS (Non-Whole Genome Sequencing) genomics testing pathways. In this context, interoperability is defined as the ability to electronically request, process, manage and track genomic requests, samples, results and reports across multiple settings in a standardised approach. This business case is an Alpha Technology Phase. The overall purpose of this phase is to demonstrate if the proposed architectural response will supply the needs of the requirements captured. The fields in the additional fields section for DPAG do not allow enough characters for our answers, so we have attached a document for these questions with our answers.
