EKFB JV - Greatworth Dry Valley drop inlet Culvert -Pipe Jacking

Tender description

The scope is for the provision for the Dry Valley drop inlet Culvert installation package, this asset is located on Chainage 101+050 . The Contractor and Subcontractor will make every effort to identify and apply best working practices. This includes investigating and utilising innovative methods, eliminating waste, promoting effective communication, and establishing long-term business relationships to benefit both parties. The pipe jacked tunnel will be constructed in two drives. Both drives would be launched from a temporary sheeted pit at the location of Manhole D. One pipe jack will drive northwest circa 150m, through Manhole C and Manhole B under the HS2 Greatworth South cutting and the mainline trace into the 5m diameter Manhole A. The length of the first drive is dictated by the width of Greatworth South Cutting. The second drive will also be launched from Manhole D to a precast headwall element, 150m south-west, that will be placed in the temporary sheeted pits on completion of the pipe drive.
