Consolidation of All Wales Medical Genomics Service Illumina Maintenance Contracts

Tender description

The consolidation of Illumina Cambridge Maintenance contracts. Providing full service support plans for nine machines manufactured by Illumina Cambridge. Lot 1: The consolidation of Illumina Cambridge Maintenance Contracts, on equipment owned by the All-Wales Medical Genomics Service based within the Cardiff and Vale Health Board. Incumbent supplier Illumina Cambridge are the only viable option for the maintenance of their machines, hence this procurement will be a single award. The consolidation of the maintenance contracts will provide continuity going forward and one start date for a new combined contract. The below maintenance contracts will be consolidated for the 2024/25 financial year and run for a total of thirty-six months: NovaSeq 6000 Support plan x2 NextSeq 550 Support plan x2 VeriSeq Nipt analysis support plan x2 Dragen Server Support plan x1 MiSeq support plan x2 Additional information: To ensure contractual arrangements remain in place to maintain the continuity of this critical service, the Authority intends to use the procedure without prior publication in accordance with the use of Public Contract Regulations 2015 32 (2)(b)(ii) and (iii), competition is absent for technical reasons and (2) (b)(iii) - the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights.
