Tender description

UKBIC has a requirement to purchase a range of equipment to establish an Industrialisation Analysis Laboratory (IAL) at the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre. The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) is part of the UK Government’s Faraday Battery Challenge. The Raman instrument will be used to measure materials traditionally used in the anode electrode of Lithium-ion batteries. The technique provides an opportunity to measure and characterise materials which would usually be considered less crystalline/amorphous which would be difficult to characterise with alternative/standard methods. The instrument should fulfil the following criteria: Ability to measure powders (Goods inwards check to ensure materials are compliant with specification). Ability to measure and quantify constituent components to assess electrode homogeneity e.g., clusters/agglomerations of active material after electrode coating. Ability to measure degradation of electrode materials after processing/cycling. Keywords: Measurement instrument , Raman, Equipment
