Wicklow County Council Library Service has 14 buildings throughout the county, in addition, there is one Mobile Library and one delivery van. Fire protection and security in our libraries includes many elements - fire alarm maintenance, fire alarm monitoring, maintenance of fire extinguishers, maintenance of emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, panic buttons both static and mobile with associated monitoring and maintenance. We intend, as much as is practical and cost effective to bring all these services together, under one company. The main contractor may subcontract elements of the required service if necessary, but payment will be made by Wicklow County Council through the main contractor. Registered Electrical Contractors (RECs) must adhere to the Safe Electric Rules of Registration.
