Tyne Derwent Way Project Monitoring and Evaluation

Tender description

Gateshead Council wishes to appoint a consultant to produce a detailed evaluation of the delivery of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UK SPF) funded Tyne Derwent Way project which will be delivered by Gateshead Riverside Partnership. The evaluation is required to run concurrently with the delivery of the project. The project began in January 2023 and will conclude activities at the end of August 2025. The project builds on the 2021/22 Community Renewal Funded Riverside Partnership project. Gateshead Riverside Partnership comprises the Council, National Trust, Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust, Newcastle University and Northumbria University. The Tyne Derwent Way project area is shown on the attached plan. The ambitious project will see local people working to create a thriving outdoor space for themselves and future generations to enjoy. Communities will be actively involved in producing what's on offer along the banks of the Rivers Tyne and Derwent. Together we will create sustainable spaces that work for everyone to discover and enjoy the local history, art and nature through volunteering, heritage, cultural and sporting activities.
