Provision for Agency Wide Maintenance, Service and Repair to Mirion Environmental Counting Equipment at Glasgow and Chilton

This VEAT notice is to indicate that UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) intends to award a contract to Mirion Technologies for a servicing and maintenance contract for Radiometric equipment covering both Chilton and Glasgow sites Lot 1: The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) requires a maintenance contract for Radiometric equipment across both the Chilton and Glasgow sites. A fully contracted and on-demand maintenance with Mirion will ensure overview of every machine in the fleet, avoiding unplanned downtime whilst extending lifetime of equipment, which could be detrimental to the on-going projects within UKHSA.<br/><br/>Due to Mirion holding exclusive rights relating to their products, UKHSA believes that Mirion is the only supplier capable of providing the Services required. It would be a near technical impossibility for another supplier to achieve the required performance necessary to maintain and service UKHSA’s Mirion equipment due to a lack of specific know-how and access to the relevant documentation to undertake the required activities.<br/><br/>Therefore a decision has been made to enter into a 60 month agreement with Mirion Technologies for this maintenance and servicing with a 12 + 12 month extension option available.
