Locum GP Booking Platform

Tender description

This notice is to inform the market of a contract which has been awarded to the National Association of Session GP's (NASGP) to continue to provide access to GP locums across Hertfordshire and West Essex. The initial contract was put in place in September 2021 and was due to expire on 31st August 2023. The decision was taken by NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB) to award a new contract for an additional year. NASGP provides a service to over 100 of HWE ICB practices and has had positive impacts for both Practices and GP Locums by providing expert support from both the LocumDeck Platform and the NASGP dedicated team support. Practice Managers rely on the LocumDeck Platform to book locums instantly, browsing GP Locum CVs and files before booking. Locums also rely on this service to ensure their bookings. Over the 2-years of the platform being in place, the provider has built a good rapport with all Practices. LocumDeck makes booking cover easier for practices who have come to rely on its service, especially given the current staffing levels within general practice. The value of the new contract is £57,300 (exclusive of VAT). The value of the previous contract was £80,000 (excluding VAT). Therefore, the total cumulative value of the contract since it started on 1st September 2021 will be £137,300 (excluding VAT).
