3.1 Trust is seeking to appoint a provider of internal audit services to review and examine the effectiveness of internal controls designed to manage risk in the organisation's operational activities. Trust is seeking to appoint a provider of internal audit services to review and examine the effectiveness of internal controls designed to manage risk in the organisation's operational activities. It is envisaged that a total of 4 internal audits, plus a follow-up visit, will be carried out per year covering all operational areas of the business. Additional ad-hoc audits may be requested. No regularity reviews will be carried out as these will be undertaken internally as part of the quality management framework. The proposed contract period is 3-years with further options for two 12-month extension periods (3+1+1). The contract will be reviewed annually to ensure standards and expectations are being met.
