MPV Jura had the propulsion drive replaced in 2020. We have been having issues with this lately but recently the drive heat exchanger has failed. The classification organisation define how far out you can operate your vessel safely. Any alterations or failures on your vessel must be inspected by them to ensure compliance with safety regulations. In this case, we have raised the failure with them, they have surveyed this and issued a Condition of Class. This is the basis or pre-condition on which we can keep the vessel sailing by, which in this case requires tugs to be used when entering and leaving harbour.
