Aberdeen’s annual events portfolio offers a rich and varied programme of attractions, activities and celebrations throughout the year which are designed to attract visitors to the city, to improve the quality of life of those who live or work in Aberdeen, and to strengthen Aberdeen’s image and reputation. As part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to improving the city’s cultural and event offering, Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeen Inspired seek competent proposals for the delivery of Aberdeen’s Christmas Village 2024 – 2026. Historically, Aberdeen’s Christmas Village has taken place on Broad Street and Upperkirkgate, over a 6-week period, starting the fourth week in November and ending on the 31 of December. The event has grown in scale and reputation since its inception in 2015, with previous events featuring a range of elements, including an ice rink, food & drink outlets, chalet craft market featuring a wide range of local makers, family attractions and a Santa’s grotto.
