Sports Based Mentoring

Tender description

With part of the Serious Violence Grant funding, Trafford Council seeks to commission 12 months of sports based physical activity mentoring programme for young people involved in or at risk of committing, being involved in or affected by violent behaviour. The programme would need to be delivered in any part of the borough to meet the young persons needs. It is recognised by the Youth Endowment Fund that timing the sessions when young people would otherwise be at risk of being exposed to negative influences could maximise impact. Evidence shows that providers that can use sport to connect children with other activities such as social care, education or employment and mental health or substance misuse services to gain improved results.
