R1BW and Radio 2 in the Park Food Concession Tenders 2024

Tender description

The BBC is conducting 2 tenders for Food Concession for Live Music Events. (a) Radio 1 Big Weekend Food Concession itt_31936 For Radio 1’s Big Weekend, the 2023 event hosted 85,000 ticketholders across the weekend (15,000 Friday + 1,500 guests and 35,000 per day on Sat & Sun + 2,000 guests). In previous years around sixty artists have performed across four stages. Radio 1 will broadcast live from the event site for up to 20 hours across the weekend. The event is carried live on iPlayer, BBC Sounds and some live TV coverage which results in a total audience reach of more than ten million. (b) Radio 2 in the Park itt_31937 During the weekend, the event will host up to 72,000 ticket holders across the weekend; 36,000 per day plus 2,000 guests each day, subject to licences. There is an enhanced ticketed area with seating, bars, and food. Capacity could be between 2,000-4,000. In 2023 sixteen artists, including Kylie, performed on the main stage with DJ sets from Radio 2 presenters and friends on the second stage. Radio 2 will broadcast live from the event site for up to 20 hours across the weekend.
