Provision of Consultant Judge for Carlow's Pride of Place Competition

Carlow County Council are now seeking the services of an experienced Consultant/Judge to prioritise fresh ideas and new inputs to reinvigorate and modernise this competition. This would be developed in partnership with the Community Section of Carlow County Council. So, we are seeking a consultant/ judge for a 12-month period (with an option to extend the arrangement for a further 24 months, at the discretion of the Contracting Authority) who will have the following tasks to complete: • Support the development of the application and application process • Carry out, as a minimum, 2 workshops in a competition year • Judge the applicants that will involve visiting each group, town, village, and housing estate that have entered the competition for 2024 throughout County Carlow and complete a marking sheet for each. • Provide a written report, which will include feedback, for each entrant in each of the categories they have entered. • Participate in launch and the award ceremony events including PR obligations which will include interviews and contribution to press releases. • Provide an end of year evaluation of the competition year The consultant judge will report to the Community Section/key contact person of Carlow County Council on a regular basis through meetings and as necessary, email and telephone communication throughout the implementation of this programme. Tenderers are required to detail in their response their approach to the mobilization and implementation plan to deliver the requirements as outlined in this Request for Tender. The selected Service Provider will be expected to provide their own appropriate transportation, to fulfil the competition requirements.
