23091 REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR SCHOOLS-BASED OBESITY INTERVENTION & PREVENTION FUND CO-ORDINATION SERVICE

Tender description

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Public Health Joint Commissioning Unit would like to commission a service to lead and coordinate the Schools-based Obesity Intervention and Prevention Fund open to all 276 primary schools in Cambridgeshire. During the past two years in Cambridgeshire, funding has been provided for piloting school-based interventions to address low levels of physical activity and poor nutrition. This additional programme will be a continuation and expansion of this work and will contribute to embedding obesity prevention into schools. The successful projects will led by schools and reflect their perception of the need locally and implement interventions specific to their unique issues and local lived experiences. To maximise the effectiveness and efficiency delivery of the delivery of this ambitious project a key requirement has been identified to recruit a coordination service that can pro-actively lead on the administration, management and communication of the grant funding to schools.
