CCS022 Provision of Technical Advice to review the Building Schools for the Future Private Finance Initiative Contract

Tender description

Derbyshire County Council (the Council) has a statutory duty to ensure that there are sufficient school places across the County and as part of that duty currently operates three Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts each with two schools.\r \r The more recently established contract was procured under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme and covers The Bolsover School and Springwell Community School (Chesterfield) with the contract signed in 2007 and following construction the schools, which operate as academies with different trusts, opened in 2010. The other two contracts are earlier PFI contracts operating as Derbyshire Schools (DS) 1 and 2.\r \r The Council is seeking a technical advisor to review the terms of The Bolsover School and Springwell Community School (Chesterfield) BSF PFI contract to identify opportunities for cost saving for the Council.\r \r This project shall include the phases as follows (with phases 2 being subject to the outcome of Phase 1):\r Phase 1: Initial Contract - A review the terms of the BSF PFI contract to produce a paper detailing the options for cost saving.\r Phase 2: Extension to Contract - (a)The implementation of chosen options from the review of the BSF PFI contract; (b) A review the terms of the DS 2 to produce a paper detailing the options for cost saving.; and (c)The implementation of chosen options from the second review.\r \r Link to eTender to access tender documentation: https://www.eastmidstenders.org/
