Managing Consultant for Whole House Retrofit

Tender description

Swindon Borough Council has secured a Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF2.1) grant from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy to improve the energy efficiency of 114 Unity Houses (Precast Concrete system Build Houses) within the Council's housing stock. Outline/ concept design has been completed and the Council requires a Lead Consultant to complete the detailed design and lead the project through RIBA stages from stage 3 to completion. The appointed consultant will take on the roles of Principal Designer, Retrofit Advisor, Retrofit Assessor, Retrofit Coordinator, Retrofit Designer and Retrofit Evaluator, and will ensure all works undertaken are PAS2035 compliant. The Council has awarded the contract to Arcadis Consulting (UK) Limited following a further competition via Lot 1 of the Crown Commercial Services RM6165 framework.
