GB-Derby: DH23022 - ASPHALT WORKS AND METAL HAND RAILINGS

Tender description

Work is required to four sites across the city of Derby to resurface our communal asphalt walkways including replacement handrailing detail to maisonette type properties. This will include the following - strip off all exiting asphalt finishing and disposal of appropriately in secure refuge skips. Then supply and lay mastic asphalt roofing to BS6925/R/988/T25 in 2 coats on a BSF underlay to the screed with a sand rubbed finish with a minimum of 15% grit added for foot traffic. Minimum horizontal thickness of 25mm and minimum vertical thickness of 13mm for the upstands/ skirting to brickwork, up to 225mm in height. Additional information: The estimated value (exclusive of VAT) is £500,000. Conditions relating to environmental and social requirements of the contracting authority may be included in this contract.
