Tender description

• A gravimetric DVS system capable of carrying out water and organic solvent vapour sorption experiments. • DVS with two balance systems (or two standalone DVS systems) allowing the simultaneous testing of two samples. • DVS chambers consisting of sample and reference balances in a vibration resistant enclosure. • Instrument design compatible with a range of organic vapours including acetone, propan-2-ol, ethanol, methanol, butanol, hexane, heptane, octane, ethyl acetate. • High resolution sample balances capable of holding at least 1 g of sample. • The ability to modify the sample temperature between at least 10 and 50°C. • The ability to control the relative humidity to between 0 and 98% RH for water and p/p0 between 0 – 90% for solvents at room temperature. • The ability to do step or ramp experiments • A computer containing the requisite operating system and software to run the instrument and analyse the resulting data including advanced software for isotherm, kinetic and thermodynamic modelling. • Delivery, installation and training.
