PR001 - Provision of SMS Messaging Service

Tender description

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust required a service provider to provide a bulk SMS messaging service, that integrates with their clinical applications to send out messages such as; appointment confirmation and appointment reminders forty-eight (48) hours in advance. The service further included sharing clinical test results and highly sensitive information with patients via SMS. The procurement for the Provision of SMS Messaging Service was run as a further competition under the NHS SBS Patient/Citizen Communication & Engagement Solutions Framework, Lot-3 SMS (Reference Number: SBS10175). As the tender was run as a mini competition off a Framework, there was no requirement to issue a Tender Notice and all eligible suppliers on the framework were invited to tender, as per PCR 2015. The Authority used the Due North e-tendering portal at https://procontract.due-north.com/Login ("the e-Tendering Portal").
