Fleet and Plant Strategy and Improvement Programme

Waterways Ireland are seeking suitably qualified support to assist with the formulation of a Fleet and Plant Improvement Programme, this shall include: • Development and delivery of a long-term Fleet and Plant Investment Strategy, aligned to the methodology, approach and systems with all other WI Assets (see figure 2 above). • Development of a management and maintenance programme for Fleet and Plant Assets. • review of current processes and procedures and documenting updated/new processes for decision making (e.g., process maps/RACI etc). • Review the overall totality of work streams for the Section and propose the optimum resource structure as part of the maintenance of the fleet and plant assets in particular. • Review of current documentation, updating and developing new documentation as required • Review of existing Fleet Management IT system(s) and scoping proposals for upgrading where required. In addition to looking at the long-term fleet and plant investment strategy, the Consultant(s) appointed will be required to examine and consider the other related principal elements of fleet and plant management, including but not limited to: • Undertaking of related Procurement/investment as supported by technical specifications and detail. • Maintenance and its requisite management– inhouse and contracted in services • Statutory compliance requirements • Health and Safety and risk register assigned responsibilities • Policy and procedures relating to Fleet and Plant • Cross Sectional overlap such as Safety Risk management and accident reporting etc.
