Lot 1: 14/013 - Water Quality Survey for the Water Supply Project – Dublin Region Irish Water is to appoint a Water Quality Survey Specialist to Erect, maintain and then remove a range of instrumentation; whilst undertaking a range of water quality sampling with supporting lab analysis. The survey will be within the Lough Derg and Parteen Basin area (of surface area approx. 140 km2) for an approximate 26 month period. The scope of services of the Water Quality Surveyor may include:- (a) Water flow and current surveys using 3 No. Acoustic Current Profilers; (b) Water level surveys using 8 No. automatic water level recorders; (c) Water quality monitoring using 5 No. moored sampling stations, including automated nutrient analysers (5 No); (d) Fortnightly water quality sampling and lab analysis from 8 locations within the lough; (e) Fortnightly water quality sampling and lab analysis from 6 major inflowing rivers; (f) Fortnightly Water treatability sampling from 5 locations within the lake (12month period only) (g) Water temperature monitoring using 20 No. thermistor chains (4 sensors per chain); (h) Meteorological monitoring using 2 no. meteorological station; (i) Factual and interpretative reporting on the above; and (j) Maintenance and servicing of survey instrumentation/equipment as required to maintain accuracies and 100 % data continuity over the survey period.
