Strength Based Training and Consultancy

This training is required to ensure the successful implementation of a strength based approach to assessment and care delivery in Adult Social and Health, which underpins the new operating model for Adult Services and Health. Alternative providers have been explored, however no single provider can deliver the required training at the different levels across the organisation, delivery using multiple providers risks inconsistency of message and learning outcomes. Also, the training providers do not have the same level of skill and expertise that the preferred provider does. Following research into the options available for this training . The chosen provider, Professor Samantha Baron is co- author of The Strength Based Practice Handbook, published by Department of Health and Social Care in 2019. Professor Baron is an expert in this field and has provided training and consultancy successfully to other local authorities taking the same transformation journey. The programme will provide training for the workforce at all levels across the directorate and will also provide consultancy and support to help embed the learning post training delivery as well as supporting other changes to systems and processes required to enable strengths-based learning.
