Provision of High-Quality GP Medical Care to Windsor Intermediate Care Unit

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) is seeking a suitable provider to deliver high-quality medical cover for service users from Windsor Intermediate Care Unit <br/><br/>The Windsor Intermediate Care Unit (WICU) is a 19 bedded unit providing in-patient intermediate care services for the population of Milton Keynes with a focus on avoidable hospital admission, rehabilitation and reablement. WICU is based in Bletchley.<br/><br/>This is a Market Engagement exercise to invite suitable providers to review the current specification for the service and to respond to the Market Engagement Questionnaire (MEQ), to assist with shaping the service.<br/><br/>This is Market Engagement at this stage and not a tender exercise, although such an exercise may result from this process Lot 1: Windsor Intermediate Care Unit (WICU) provides a short-term programme of nursing and therapy for people who need a period of rehabilitation to enable them to regain functioning, independence and confidence to return safely to their own home.<br/>The unit aims to achieve a maximum length of stay of 21 days. It is a nurse-led unit, with a contactable doctor between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and emergency cover at other times.<br/>CNWL are seeking a suitable organisation to provide high-quality GP cover at the unit, this market engagement exercise is to enable providers to review the specification and respond to market engagement questionnaire which will help shape a procurement exercise to establish a potential service
