This purchase is required because there is a requirement to maintain and improve the external envelope of the Council's housing stock. There are a number of properties where a number of the external elements are failing, particularly the roofs and wall finishes (Render & Roughcast). There are insufficient resources with the appropriate skills within the current resources to carry out this work.
