Tender description

A small contingency has been allowed for unforeseen circumstances on site. Therefore total value of contract £70,000 +VAT. Quote obtained from supplier who had won similar works in Surrey half of canal - quote was in excess of £80k and substantially over budget. Second quote obtained from Charterhouse Tree Care. Due to urgency of works (already over timescale recommended by arboricultural inspector) an STA was then obtained from Tier 3 manager according to scheme of delegation
